Galway Lawn Tennis Club is currently hosting the Professional Squash Association’s (PSA) ‘Garavan’s Bar West of Ireland Paddy Whack Open 2015′ from April 14th to April 19th.

The Challenger event is starting with qualifying stages on Tuesday, April 14th, with our very own Resident Squash Coach David Noone taking part as one of four Local wildcard entries. Along with Dave, Keith Moran (Sligo Tennis Club), Michael Craig (Belfast Boat Club) and Irish Number one Brian Byrne (Claremorris) will also be playing for a spot in the professional section of the tournament. Irish Professional Sean Conroy (Leinster Cricket Club), as well as professionals from around the world, will be joining them in the event over the weekend 17th to 19th April. There will also be an event for players not involved in the sport professionally, with three sections for grades A, B and C for men, as well as a Ladies A section. Garavan’s Bar has generously sponsored the event, adding a prize fund of €10,000 to the prestigious event. It is sure to be a week of top quality Squash, with food and refreshments available all week in the club’s bar. Supporters and spectators are most welcome all week!
